Review: Kaliem: This is where you should order your wedding ring

Kaliem. Sounds weird. But this is where you should order your wedding. Why? Because mine is awesome and that was being ordered at that jeweler shop. If you go to blok M square lantai ground, ask for Kaliem. Everybody knows where the shop is. That’s the biggest specialty jeweler shop. Designed especially for wedding ring; this is where you can order to make your ring from various materials, with various design.

Kaliem is served by very friendly staff. They understand that choosing the right ring is not easy and we need to try hundreds if ring before finding the right one J aku dan mas aja pas milih spend 1-2 hours time there before deciding. In this point, I give my highest appreciation for kaliem.

Kaliem is very well known for making the ring very carefully. Soft and smooth final product; it makes me believe that my ring is gonna be awesome J yes, price does talk; and the price at Kaliem is surely above average. I don’t mind though.

On the previous posts I have told you that the ring we ordered made by white gold (me) and palladium (si mas). In total we spend like 10-11 gram in total for a set of ring.

This is the design we chose; but instead of 3, we only ordered 2 diamonds in the middle. Filosofinya adalah….. ada 2 pihak ter-engage dengan cincin ini; yakni kamu dan aku.. #cieh. #maksa... hahaha… Nggak nggak. Abis jariku dan jari mas kan relatively small; so we are not suitable using too wide ring. Kita kecilkan saja penampang cincinnya hoho.. Anyway, after 3 weeks, this is the ring’s done and we just save it until the D-Day.

When the ring’s done they package it in a small jewellery box, nice but not special. Ah sayang sekali. It could be better though.

The Honeymoon: What we do and how we do it *wink*

Kelapa Villa’s Gili Trawangan Lombok.

Just get back to the reality and start breathing as ordinary human being J hehe, well, as any other newly-wed couple who just escaped for the honeymoon. Well, so did we!

Right after the akad nikah on Jan 11^th 2013, and the wedding ceremony on 12^th Jan 2013 (psst.. I will do the vendor review shortly ya guys), then on Jnauary 14^th 2013 then we go to Lombok. Why Lombok? As simple as the Sucofindo give honeymoon package as a “gift”, and it is a choice between Bali or Lombok. Bali? Hmm, that’s waaaay to ordinary and Lombok looks so tempting J

After exploring here and there, we decided to do honeymoon at the Gilis J the Gili’s consists of 3 islands on the north west of Lombok island, just 10 minutes fast-boat voyage sailing, wohooo!

Unfortunately, the honeymoon compliments from Sucofindo doesn’t cover the Gili’s, only at Lombok island. Maka aku dan si mas memutuskan untuk minta cash back aja yang kalau dihitung jumlahnya around 3 mio (2 juta tiket PP untuk 2 orang) dan paket menginap 2 malam senilai 500k.

Nah, akhirnya hotel cari sendiri. Langsung browsinglah yaaa.. The criteria for our honeymoon venue should be:

• 1. Super romantic :D
• 2. Kalau bisa harus ada honeymoon package #superngiritmode: on
• 3. Private pool (ehm..) atau bath tub (ehm ehm..)
• 4. Private/separated from the main building, so ordinary hotel might not be a choice J
• 5. Last but not least: C-H-E-A-P

Hahaha, tak disangka tak dinyana; ternyata ada loh ya tempat kayak gitu J Afters reaching for several alternatives, then we found a venue named: Kelapa Villas. (Please see their website: "kelapa villas")

This place offer package for honeymoon consist of this:

• 1. 1x Romantic Dinner, including wine (but we don’t take the wine though, instead we have very nice es kelapa muda J)
• 2. 1 x Private snorkeling trip to the 3 gili’s including the equipments
• 3. 1x Massages treatment (Couple) for 1 hour
• 4. Pick up from the airport to the harbor with private car à from Lombok harbor to the Gili’s via private speed boat à And Cidomo (traditional horse cart) from the Gili’s harbor to the villas; two-way return

These include facility like: fresh wate (because mostly at the Gili’s water provided adalah air payau atau air proses-an. Tapi air yang disinid iimpor khusus dari Lombok lohhh..), Cable tv with DVD player (and the movie), super comfy living room, spacious kitchen and dining room , full cooking utensil (microwave, etc. Even BBQ dinner can be requested on demand), bicycle, open-air bathroom (this is so cool..!), private pool (wohoo), and I like the whole bath-equipment that’s all made by coconut-based. We got complimentary welcome drink, flower arrangement at the room, the welcoming fruit, and also cool bath robe and breakfast every morning, A/C is a must-lah ya…).

We have this package for 4 days and 3 nights for only... jeng jeng jeng.... 6,5 mio IDR.

The management is very friendly and open-hearted, warmth and attentive. We kept in touch with Ernest (the marketing) and Marga (the operational/managers in duty), and he even deliver the menu by himself. He called us regular to ensure everything’s set and even give us a lot of candles to shoo the fly (yes, in this season if we left the desk with some foods remins, it invites flies)

What did we do?

Hmm, besides honeymoon-ing (ya iyalah ya…) J this is our agenda for 4 days and 3 nights:

Day 1:

Depart from Jakarta at 9am and arrive at Lombok around 11. Being picked up by pak Hairun, he pick us up and we stopped by a very good and beautiful restaurant to eat ayam taliwang and pelecing kangkung J incredible nice, cant complain due to cheap price and nice view J kita lunchy dipinggir pantai gitu loooh), ada pasir dan deburan ombak, ihiiiy).

We arrive at the harbor around 1pm (kelamaan di makan siang), dan naik private spped boat, wohooo! Only for 15 minutes (normally 10 minutes padahal), soalnya gelombang agak besar (we just knew that Jakarta’s is starting to rain..) and then being picked up by cidomo J

FYI, di Gili ini gak ada kendaraan bermotor, jadi cara untuk berpelesir ria adalah dengan sepeda, atau cidomo (semacam sado/andong/delman/dokar, named it lah… kalau di Gili namanya cidomo) khusus ke kelapa Villas. FYI, kelapa ini letaknya agak special karena 900m dari bibir pantai J I don’t mind having this since I need privacy J not to mention that I will get bike to go around for free juga…

Sampai di kelapa villa’s…. langsung gak nyesel. This is I believe, the place in the whole Gili Trawangan. This is absolutely one of a kind. Super exclusive and look so expensive. Super Duper Elegant and… Romantic J

We arrived and Marga + Ernest welcomed us. So warm! We create the agenda for the day and spend the whole afternoon to enjoy the whole facilities. Private pools, and all, it looks so tempting so we spend the day, literally at the Villa’s.

When the evening comes, and the stomach screamed loudly, based on tripadvisor, we were advised to have dinner at Pasar seni. It’s only there at the nights and it provides traditional foods (and the barbeque’s menu: grilled fish, fresh seafood, with super awesome spices & herbs).

With red snapper, prawn and squid (it’s all jumbo-sized), we only spend 100k for 2, and we take away half of the foods (rupanya kita laper mata aja, haha). So it’s eligible for 2x dine time. Super cheap and totally worth it J so happy!

Day 2:

Hmm, after spending the whole morning with eating breakfast, leyeh-leyeh, main-main lucu dan berenang, segala macem, we spend the day with going around the island. Berbekal sepeda, sunblock, dan aqua 1,5 litre, sambil naiks peda kita keliling pulau, mengitari seluruh cincinnya J I will share the picture below, super pretty places:

At the night, aku dandan sedikit lebih cantik, karena we are going to have a romantic candlelight dinner session with my hubby (for the first time) J wohooo.. this is super special and totally awesome. Damn! Take a look at the menu that has been suggested to us:

Appetizer:

1. Chopped chicken pie with some herbs and sweet chilli sauce

2. Thailand seafood salad with sour sauces (it consist hell a lot of prawn and squid, fresh!!)

Main course:

Fried seafood with garlic sauce and onion à it looks upper pretty!

Dessert:

1. Banana spring roll with caramel sauce & ice cream

2. Fried apple with choco sauce & vanilla’s ice cream

Me likey!!!! No complain for the dinner, it looks extravagant, so I think price that I’m going to pay is so worth it!

Day 3:

This is a challenging day!

Started with breakfast, we woke up pretty early to have snorkeling trip J the boat provided for us is very spacious, yet, it’s only us who will be on it. I feel like a princess J hohohoho..

After choosing the right size for the googles and the kaki katak (englishnya apa yaa..), we start sailing the boat and having super quic snorkeling trip session (this is the first time for si Mas, 3^rd time for me, so we are cupu :P).

The trip begins at 9 and ends at 3pm dan memakan korban berupa si mas yang bergelimpangan setelah memaksakan diri ber-snorkel ria dan mengakibatkan beliau tumbang karena si mas Gantengku itu tidak enak badan dan gelombang laut yang tidak bersahabat.

Overall, it’s super pretty! We met about 4 times with penyu, aneka ria warna ikan, aneka ria karang-karang (I like the blue one), bertemu manta fish, star fish, some pretty clamp, and it’s all…..a nice journey J I love it, cant complain again. My skin is burned and darker darkerrr J

Karena si mas ga enak badan, passs banget, saatnya massage!!! J 1 hour massage treatment redeems allllll the fatigue. We went sleep in a smiley faces. Foto massage-nya ga usah di pajang ya.. maluuuu… terlalu sensual bok! :P

Day 4

Checking out time!

We are asked to be picked up at 10, having the same journey with cidomo and fast boat then picked up (again) by pak Hairun. We have short travel time to Pearl shop near by the beach. My eyes are opened to see that jewellery named Pearl could super beautiful and super…….expensive J

Aku naksir setengah mati dengan a pendant, Mutiara air laut, bentuknya lonjong with “drop” shapped and little diamond and silver chain. It cost….. 8 mio aja loh. Tapi it’s so pretty. It’s so so so pretty! Not talking about it so much I think si mas ngeh deh kalau aku senaksir itu sama si Pearl. Apa daya, duit aja belum sempet buat beli setrika… yuk mare pulanggg..

Pak Hairun akan mengantarkan kita jalan-jalan around Lombok dulu before departing via bandara Praya Lombok (new international airport at Lombok, sebelumnya di Mataram, sekarang di Lombok Tengah. It’s pretty far from the city centre though).

Aku pussssiiiing sekali seharian itu, nggak enak badan buangett… jadi aku ditiduran aja dipangku si Mas sepanjang jalan, not realizing where we go. Suddenly we stopped at a small pearl shop J yay! Aku beliin oleh-oleh buat mama, buat temen baikku, sama a bracelet and earrings for me J si mas beli buat Ibu dan… buatku J a similar pearl pendant (Mutiara air laut juga, bentuknya sama persisssss, Cuma sedikit lebih kecil aja… Tiba-tiba jadi pengen nangis ya Tuhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.. Suamiku super baik sekali! Ah…  I’m touched…

Sempet beli oleh-oleh jelly, dodol, dan manisan khas ombok dari rumput laut juga.. trus cari makan siang J pak hairun ini emang jago cari tempat makan. He dropped us di rumah makan yang terlihat simple bernama RM. Murah meriah. Tempatnya makanan yang kayak warteg gitu, jadi dipajang makanannya. Aku sama dim as pilih belut, babat, keong :P sama sayur bening, minum jus buah naga campur lemon.

DUDE!!! The food is super HOT!!! But super TASTY!!!! Damn, I love this place and the fruit juice yang dimodif sama si mas is….. TOTALLY MAGNIFICENT!!! Cant say anything, cant ask for more..

Damn, I love Lombok, I love my Mas. I don’t want to tell story about the rest of the journey, I just want to close it by saying…. I hope I know thw awesomeness of being married earlier. Tau gitu, dari dulu J hahaha.. yang jelas, I love my husband. I do J

I gained my weight.

Last three months my weight is 61 kg (shut up!).

Last week it’s 53kg (yay!).

Today it’s 55 kg.

This is disaster.

Reason to Love Somebody: "Magic" on His Hand #wink

The reason to love someone is always varied. Some explanations are logical, some others are not. Some motives are crucial, some others are trivial. If I have to categorize the basis of why I love si Mas, why I said “yes” on his marriage proposal, why I decided to give away half of my freedom to be led by a stranger, well.. I said: I don’t know. Because… It just…. Happens. But one thing that I do know; I do know that day by day, I love him even more and more, and more, and more J #awwwwww #cocwiiiit

Si Mas is my all-in-one package.

When I said all-in-one, that’s really its literal meaning. Probably his wife loves Bondan Winarno because he’s good at cooking, his wife loves kak Seto because he’s good at telling story, or probably his wife loves SBY because he’s big and looks good on army uniform (well..). But if I have to find one practical reason why I love si Mas stronger than yesterday, is because he’s good at: MAKING SESERAHAN, WITH HIS OWN HANDS.

God! Yes! My boyfriend making seserahan for me, with his own hands! Ah… It’s like… Sugar.

So… Last week we went to Cikini, seeking for kotak seserahan. It’s pretty well-known place to buy the boxes with cheap price yet still good and luxurious. Overall, I’m so happy with the boxes. We got a lot of options in term of colors, materials, shapes, sizes, and prices J We have basket-shape, boxes, rounded-box, cake-basket, fruit-basket, banyak lahh..

In average the boxes cost approximately 30.000-40.000 IDR, including ribbon and the “flower accent”. Pretty! For some boxes, it includes mica plastic as the cover. Some boxes have their “pair” so, in a package, it consists of 4 boxes with different size. They give us 100-ish k for all. So it’s definitely a good deal J

We bought around 15 kotak for seserahan dari si Mas (yes, it’s a lot, we bough so many things in hands haha..), and I bought like 7 boxes sebagai balen (kotak yang biasanya diisi macem-macem, mulai dari makanan sampai perlengkapan lucu), sebagai “timbal balik dari seserahan yang dikasih ke kita. Hoho. We also bought 10m plastic cover, 20ish flower, meters of ribbon, accessories, all for only 600k. it’s super awesome. Super. Super. Super. A.W.E.S.O.M.E. So happy!!!

Well, in short, we asked about the prices to bungkus-bungkus seserahan. It costs 35 ribu diluar bahan/kotak. 35 ribu just for the services. Oooh, c’mon. its not worth it. Freaking expensive L kalau kita punya 20 kotak aja, it will cost us 700k just for the service. Karena aku dan si Mas adalah pengantin pelit sooooo… kita emmutuskan ga jadi bungkus bungkus di cikini.

Instead, si mas bilang “aku mau bikin seserahan sendiri..”. BLAH. Aku melet donk pastinya, hahaha.. aku ejek ejek si mas sepanjang perjalanan dan ga percaya dia bisa bikin. Kalaupun bisa bikin aku taruhan si mas bikinnya ga bakal sebagus tukang parcel disana hahaha.. Ya iyalah, si Mas kan kerja di bank, bukan di Cikini :P

Mulutku mingkem waktu kita mampir ke toko buku and he knows exactly what he wants. He bought “special karton”, lem, double tape, dan stationery lainnya yang cukup aneh dan aku ga ngerti why is it relevant with making seserahan and go home with curious mind.

Mulutku terkunci #aziiiiiiiiiik saat si Mas mempraktekkan keahliannya. Sambil ketawa-tawa dia megang gunting, nempel-nempel selotip, melipat handuk disini sambil gulung-gulung kawat, kotaknya dikasih jarum pentul dan tau-tau uda berdiri dengan manis, lipstick dan kosmetik seserahannya diputer-puter dan tau tau udah terlilit pita, soooo many things are done all at once.

He did this, that, a bit of this and a little more on that, added few things and reduce more on that and VOILAA… He did it.

He made it.

And...

It is…. Unbelievable.

The box is… Sweet. And pretty.

My reaction: keep on silence and I dropped my tears.

I'm touched.

Si Mas *once again* opened my eyes.

Balada Kebaya: Endytha Butik si Penyelamat Calon Mempelai Galau

I apologize for the delayed posting. I have been occupied with all the preparations, juggling between marriage prep and the overwhelming workload, struggling between my health condition and some little “fights” here and there with si Mas as the time is approaching and the tension is increasing J

Today’s new year. January 1^st 2013. Meaning whaaaaaaaat.. Yes dear, it’s the freaking D-10! Kyaaaaaaaa… I do nothing but feeling anxious all the time. Do we have things here? Do we have things there? Is that all? What’s left? What else? You know those questions.

I remember I promised you to review my vendor all by one. Haha, well, things were going so fast, I didn’t even have time to break or breath, apalagi nulis review. Hahahaha #soksibuk. But overall, I think what I should have done, is done. It makes me relieved though.

I just finished my baju akad yesterday. After kegalauan after kegalauan; it’s decided that I will have my own baju akad, yay! So, at first I think renting kebaya akad is okay; until I spoke with Puput. She said, confidently: “Baju akad itu wajib banget punya kali yas. Baju resepsi nyewa gak papa. Tapi baju akad itu harus punya. Kan kenang-kenangan sekali seumur hidup. Jadi kalau gue jadi elo, gue pasti bikin baju akad sendiri. Lagian kata orang jawa kan emang begitu, baju akad itu harus punya.”

Haha, galaulah gue. Yang tadinya mikir “sewa baju akad dimana yaa…” kemudian berubah menjadi “apakah gue bikin aja ya…” pokoknya kegalauan ini gue post disini deh.

Nah, things went well until………..fitting time with papa mama! Well, on their eyes my kebaya was waaaaaaaay too simple and ordinary. Not having feeling as kebaya akad at all. Not. At. All. #JEGERRR #petirmenyambar

Mewek donk yaaa gueee… huhuhu…

Next action: kita sempet berburu di mayestik, mau cari bahan yang lebih kuereen buat si kebaya lagi-lagi di mayestik, dan lagi lagi di tempat si om Bim di Mumbay tekstil. Udah kesana, udah liat-liat, Tapi ternyata usut punya usut, bahan gue itu uda keren looh yaaa dibandingin dengan bahan lainnya. Gue bisa bilang itu standard P75 lah #eaaa… Intinya it is decided that the problem not on the material, tapi on the kebaya it self. Secara bahannya doank 275 ribu (disc dari 375 ribu per meter); soalnya tile-nya uda dikasih bordiran bertulang dan payet yang cukup bling-bling; no need to payet more (but I did it anyway ;p)

Karena problem kebaya yang terlalu bersahaja ini tetep belum terpecahkan; saking desperatenya, kita semua berpikir untuk sewa kebaya akad lagi L #fiiuh #capekdeh.  Dan abis dari mayestik abis cari sana sini, kayaknya kita paling enak ke pondok indah, mampirlah ke rumah pengantin Ira Yusuf untuk coba cobi beberapa kebaya berwarna putih/offwhite/gading/ivry, name it lah..

Gak terlalu susah dicari, Rumah pengantin Ira Yusuf (RPIY) ini bisa banget dicari pake google map. Disana diriku disambut oleh mbak Sarah selaku anaknya bu ira dan langsung di “suapin” beberapa kebaya yang cakep-cakep J sempet nyoba beberapa, ntar aku post fotonya ya J

Hmmm, kalau boleh bilang sih sebenernya hati ini tak sreg-sreg amat dengan kebaya yang ada disana, hiks. Tapi gimana lagi, kebaya yang disini kan pastinya lebih mewah dengan payet segudang. Sedangkan kebayaku pastinay kebanting dibandingkan dnegan yang disini. Apalagi kebaya eke kan panjangnya hanya selutut. It creates another problem.

Well after choosing one kebaya, we made appointment to have fitting session near by Jan 2013, biar kalau badannya berubah it can be adjusted. Yowes. Pulanglah ke depok; dan ammpirlah kita ke Endhyta. Di sana kita consult how to make the kebaya looks better yaaa.. wow wow, after having some valuable information, bisa banget itu kebaya gue dirombak rombak sehingga menjadi elgan dan anggun J yuhuuuu…

Kebayanya aku minta ditambahin ekor semata kaki, diubah model lehernya, ditambah bordirannya, ditambah payetnya, dipenuhin motifnya, dibuka punggungnya, pokoknya rombak rombak total ya book.. pastinya ini akan jadi lebih lama. They promised to finish it at the end of Dec J well, it’s pretty quick time, seeing that they have many request to be done at all once.

During the time, I went there to do fitting bolak baliiiiiiiiiik banget. Untung mbak dan mas Ajay yang ada di Endhyta sangat suabuar sekale memenuhi requestku yang kalau fitting selalu dekat-dekat jam tutup toko dan kudu membuat mereka begadang dan berlembur hingga jam setengah 10 malam karena aku dan si Mas cerewetnya minta ampun J tapi kadang-kadang suka geregetan soalnya kalau aku bilang A, B, C, suka ga kecatet dan akhirnya kudu bilang bolak balik karena adaaaaaaa ajaaa yang kurang. A terlaksana tapi B-nya lupa. Besoknya B-nya terlaksana, eh C-nya ga kebawa. Untung aku sabar juga; walaupun suatu saat si Mas sempet ngomelin mbak-mbaknya sampai aku takut sendiri (._. *)

Oh yaaa.. Selain bikin kebaya dan long torso di endhytha, aku juga mempayetkan jas si Mas disana. Mas udah jahit jas sendiri dan it fits him. Si mas ganteng banget deh pake jas-koko gading itu, haduuuh jadi makin cinchaaa.. #apasihyas… Haha, selain emang kerjanya mbak mbak Endhyta yang keren, si mas juga pinter banget sih ya milih motif buat si jas dan jadinya bagus banget, nggak pasaran sama sekali dan rapih payetannya. It worths the money banget lah.

I spent 2,75 mio in total. 1 mio for payetannya jas si Mas. 1,75 mio including ongkos jahit kebaya, long torso, border dan payet for my kebaya. Well, I didn’t say it’s cheap. Tapi ngeliat hasilnya, it’s worth it menurutku. Apalagi aku suka ngeburu-buruin mereka dan suka bikin perubahan disana-sini banget hehehe.. I would like to say thanks a lot for them sih. Tinggal liat gimana hasilnya di foto yaaa..

Well, overall endhytha gue kasih nilai 8,5 deh ya:

Falling Leaves after the Tempest

Familiar with ‘badai pasti berlalu’ or “sehabis hujan pasti ada pelangi? For me, those are less romantic than what we’ve done. Intinya, during the whole month, the preparation is crazy, the problems are arising; yet the result is unbelievably sugary. For us, the storm has passed and what left is the sweet falling leaves #eaaa #autumn:mode on.. haha..

With our super quick introduction, si Mas and I were ‘forced’ to know each other, accelerated.

Misunderstandings happened, misperception occurred, mistakes done.

Some people gone, some scenes passed, some pictures ran away.

But more love blossom.

I love us.

More than ever J
